“Myndtheater” is a project co-funded by the European Union (Erasmus Lump Sum Grant – project code 101184193) running from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2026, aimed at protecting and promoting mental health among young people in the digital environment. Using forum theater methodology, the project aims to develop psychological, cognitive, and practical skills, with the goal of raising young people’s awareness of the risks associated with online life.
Objectives:
- Strengthen youth workers’ soft skills, particularly psycho-emotional and life skills, while also providing knowledge in the field of youth mental health.
- Enhance youth workers’ and young people’s understanding of the virtual world.
- Promote the debate on mental health and foster collaboration and networking among partners and youth organizations working in this field.
- Support the development of youth work in third countries, with a particular focus on the Western Balkans.
The Project
The action plan envisages transnational collaboration between the following associations: Twoplustwo (Italy), Bravo (Bosnia), Dah Teatar (Serbia), Prona (Albania), TFL (Montenegro), and Dreamy (Italy).
The project will involve over 200 young people from diverse cultural and geographical backgrounds, offering them the opportunity to directly engage with the challenges and opportunities of the digital world. This exchange will highlight how online issues are not limited to individual local contexts but have global reach, requiring joint responses and shared strategies. At the same time, international dialogue will enable the identification of solutions that, while drawing on diverse experiences, can be adapted and applied across cultures and societies.
Through Myndtheater, young people are encouraged to critically reflect on their role in the digital world, learning to recognize its risks and potential. The goal is not only to raise awareness, but also to foster the creation of concrete and actionable proposals to promote a more balanced, safe, and inclusive online environment, capable of meeting the needs of an ever-evolving generation.
